Theft investigation leads to arrest

On Monday, May 23rd, Sergeant Henkel along with CID Sergeants Scott and Harbuck, responded to the Emmett Community in Navarro County in reference to a theft investigation. The victim told officers he believed he had observed his stolen pole saw at a residence. Upon arrival, Sergeant Henkel went to the suspects residence and verified that the pole saw was in fact stolen.

While detectives were on scene, a stolen chain saw as well as a stolen four wheeler all belonging to the same victim, were recovered with an estimated amount of $6500. The original call for service was made in February of 2022.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and placed the suspect into Navarro County Detention Center for theft over $2500 under $30000 were he awaits arraignment.
