NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) A Navarro County man's probation was revoked after his wife was assaulted over the weekend.

Robert Nicholas Vaughan, 38, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and for violating probation on a charge of injury to a child/elderly/disabled person.

He remained jailed in the Navarro County Justice Center Wednesday on a $50,000 bond.

Vaughan's wife was injured when she assaulted with a mop handle and threatened with a knife Sunday at the couple's home in the Purdon community, Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner said.

The wife reported the assault Monday and an arrest warrant was issued.

Tanner said detectives arrested Vaughan Tuesday morning in Angus without incident.
