Theft of Livestock arrest

12/10/2019

On Friday, December 6th, the NCSO was alerted to the reported theft of livestock from Kerens by an agent of the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

The suspect had allegedly stolen three head of cattle from two separate owners and taken them to a livestock auction out of the county.

Our NCSO detectives immediately responded to the livestock auction and began the theft of livestock investigation and placed a hold on the stolen livestock.

The owners then retrieved their animals from the location.

On Tuesday, December 10th, NCSO Detective Sergeant Randy Clay served arrest warrants on the suspect charging him with two counts of felony theft of livestock.
Good job Detective Clay.
