Congratulations to Deputy Ismael (Izzy)Esparza on being the Corsicana Kiwanis Deputy of the Year Award recipient for 2019.

Deputy Esparza served three years of active duty in the U.S. Army followed by six years in the Army reserve including a deployment to Afghanistan.

Deputy Esparza attended the Navarro College Police Academy at the Waxahachie campus and later began working at the Navarro County Sheriff's Office.

After approximately six months in corrections, he transferred to the patrol division where he has currently served approximately one year.
