Remembering officer involved in dallas attack

07/07/2019

Please remember the five that lost their lives three years ago today as well as those injured and effected by the horrific Dallas attack. Those that convey the protective role of law enforcement officers and the strength, courage and valor that are distinctive of those who serve and protect. It is definitely not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived.

I still have trouble thinking of a word that best describes someone who runs to trouble, into cha...os and evil. An officers' actions as they rushed without hesitation into gunfire that night and many other times. "Bravery" and "courage" don't seem to do it justice.
What possess an officer to be that... valiant? To me, there really are no words that describes officers actions. Their actions speak for themselves.
Especially on this night as they were protecting those and the rights of those to protest against the very ones who were protecting the protestors.

DPD Officer Michael Krol
DPD Sgt. Michael Smith
DART Officer Brent Thompson
DPD Officer Patricio "Patrick" Zamarrip

Please take a moment today to say a prayer for not only these officers but also for the families that were left behind. God be with them and with all the other men and women who protect and serve us everyday. There are so many of us who DO value your lives, your sacrifice and your dedication to running towards the trouble, into the chaos and evil💙
