Today I am proud to report that the dogs seized on an animal cruelty warrant in Angus are eating well and getting better with each day.

I want to thank Deputies Charles Paul, Jim Carroll and Matt Swindall for their work at the scene and as the case has progressed through the seizure hearing and placement for care.

I especially would like to commend the employees of the Corsicana Animal Shelter for their concern and care they've shown in reference to these neglected animals....

The Chihuahua has gone to a special Chihuahua rescue in Dallas and the other three seized dogs are reported to be gaining weight, responding to care and are improving daily.
