NCSO arrests barricaded man for warrants

The Navarro County Sheriff's Office arrested Eric Donell Lotts, 26, Tuesday, May 21 after he barricaded himself inside a residence on South Garrity Street in Frost.

According to the Navarro County Sheriff's Office, Lotts had outstanding felony warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence and assault family violence impeding breath.

Once on scene, Lotts threatened to shoot law enforcement and SWAT was deployed.

The suspect was apprehended and booked into Navarro County Jail and charged with assault family violence impeding breathe or circulation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal trespass, revocation of probation for assault causes bodily injuries, revocation of probation for failure to identify, and revocation of probation for assault causes bodily injuries. His bond has been set at $76,000.

“A great job by all officers to resolve this dangerous situation,” Sheriff Elmer Tanner said.
