Stolen vehicles recovered arrest made

On Thursday, February 29th, the NCSO received a report of the theft of three pickups being a Ford F-250, Ford F-150 and a beige colored Nissan Pickup in the Richland area.

Detectives canvassing the area located surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle on March 1st.

NCSO Detectives began actively searching for the suspect vehicle based on description. An alert detective later that day observed a vehicle in Corsicana matching the suspect vehicle description. Detectives spoke with the driver and later as a result of the interview, located all three vehicles at a remote location near Mildred. All three vehicles had been disassembled and crushed.

The suspect advised he scraps vehicles in which the motors go to Mexico, vehicle bodies go to another location and vehicle frames go to Dallas. This is an ongoing investigation and the suspect has been placed into custody for three charges of Theft of Property $2500 under $30k which is a state jail felony.

I applaud the diligent efforts of our detectives in working to solve this felony theft so quickly.
