The FCSO joins many others in morning the loss of a good person, a good lady, an outstanding Texas Peace Officer, and a true professional with a big heart. DPS Trooper Sara Warren served our country in the United States Army for 8 years prior to joining DPS where she worked as a Trooper for Freestone and Navarro County's. She had a great personality and she took her duties and the safety of our citizens seriously. While working in Freestone she was affectionately known as "Seatbelt Sara". She got a kick out of that like the rest of us. She made visits to our dispatch to check in on our ladies behind the scenes, and you could always count on her for back up if she was anywhere close.
Sara loved horses and loved riding, and was a pretty avid swimmer and taught many kids swimming lessons.
She was called home to our Lord and Savior this past Wednesday where she is completely healed and renewed.
God Bless you Sara Warren. Prayers for friends and family. Your work here was commendable. Thank you for your service to our citizens and your service to our country.
