MISSING PERSON UPDATE
It is with sadness we report that the remains of Melvin Jordan, 73 of Barry, Texas, were located this morning with K9 assistance while searching in a rural area near his residence on NW 2162.
The Navarro County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Beto Unit for their manpower and tracking dogs, Coastal K9 of College Station, K9 Specialty Detection of Axtel, and ARK9 of Madisonville for their assistance in the search.
Judge Jordan has ordered the remains be sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
