Navarro County Sheriff's Deputy Tyrone Martin stopped a speeding car out of Hill County with a spike strip before it could enter Corsicana.

NCSO along with Corsicana Police and Texas Department of Public Safety, assisted the Hill County Sheriff's Office following a police chase around 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9 on W. Highway 22

Anthony Leigh West, 41, driving a gray Ford Taurus, was taken into custody for evading arrest with a motor vehicle after Hillsboro Police Sgt. Haakinson tried to pull him over for an expired registration from 2016.

West increased speed up to 110 miles per hour.

“I kept going because I am wanted for a parole violation,” West said, according to police reports.

He was transported to Hill County Jail.
