Eventful, Rainy Night For NCSO

11/06/2015

Last night we experienced an eventful rainy night at the NCSO. We responded to a prisoner transport van that had flooded out in Corsicana. The prisoners were safely transferred to the Justice Center. We responded to an assault call at Wispers Cabaret and arrested 8 persons as a result of the investigation. We also believe that we had a lightning strike to our communications antenna at the Justice Center causing minor communication issues. We had other calls as well, but its all in a nights work.

I am proud to report that neither Sergeant Joey Jock or his civilian passenger were injured lastnight when his patrol vehicle was rear ended on IH 45. Sgt. Jock had responded to a call for traffic control assistance by DPS at the 229 milepost of South IH 45 when the accident occurred. The emergency lights were activated on the patrol unit and it was occupied when it was struck from behind. The vehicle can be fixed but the lives of our officers are invaluable.
