Today the NCSO Narcotics Unit, being supported by CID and patrol, are actively involved in a marijuana eradication in Northeastern Navarro County near the Trinity river. Deputies have seized thousands of marijuana plants in an outdoor growing operation. The marijuana plants are in various stages of growth with the majority being 6 to 10 ft tall. 
The street value of the plants at maturity, would have been several hundred thousand dollars.

We will gather and evaluate evidence from this scene and actively continue to seek these illegal growing operations. We will continue to be diligent in eradication of these illegal grows.
