This has been a very emotional week for our local law enforcement community, especially today. We all united to bring our fallen brother Brent Thompson home this afternoon. I cannot begin to express the feelings and emotions that we experienced as we traveled from Dallas to Corsicana.

I want to personally thank everyone from Dallas to Corsicana who came out to pay their respects for our fallen brother, Officer Brent Thompson.

This afternoon, Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner, Corsicana Police Chief Robert Johnson and Corsicana Independent School District Police Chief Randy Ratliff will escort Officer Brent Thompson home to Corsicana. 

Preliminary information is that arrival to the city limits of Corsicana will be at approximately 4:30 PM today.

The route taken will be:

•Exit on Business 45
•Turn West on East 1st Avenue
•Turn left on N. 15th
•Turn right on W. 2nd Avenue
•Turn left on 744
•Turn left on N.45th Street
•Arrive at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home
