This afternoon NCSO Deputies executed an animal seizure warrant during the course of a cruelty to animals investigation on FM 667 near Frost. Deputies consulted with the District Attorney and a local veterinarian about the case prior to obtaining the seizure warrant that ultimately led to seizing 3 horses and 5 head of cattle. The animals have been taken to a local veterinarian for evaluation. The criminal investigation is pending at this time.
